We call it Participatory Action Research Design. It builds on the practice and philosophy of Participatory Action Research (PAR) and Co-designing. You can choose to integrate it into your research or evaluation project after final report, to better understand what our recommendations might look and feel like, as a prototype, walkthrough, or Beta test. For the best design expertise, we collaborate with service and relational designers we trust to deliver creative ideation and prototyping training. This ensures that the very same communities that conducted the research are given the tools and time to design solutions and futures in a way that reflects their implicit understanding of the barriers.
